I’m new to plugin development, how would I go about adding image upload, using the wordpress image uploader? Also I added my own style and then the arrows wouldn’t work properly for the navigation. I think it’s great that shortcode can be used here, thank you very much.

I’m actually a beginner developer and I was looking for this exact tutorial. As soon as I’m done with this tutorial RevSlider can suck it! Normal free sliders are still challenging for me to customise but I’ve managed to integrate static sliders usining theme files and functions.php.

The plugin shortcode clarified a lot. I simply need to echo out the whole slider as one long html string! I was busy trying to find a way to include plugin php in the theme file.

Hi Avinash

Thank you for letting me know about your preference.

I think we have to go with slidesjs as most readers are voted for it. But it is also responsive as flex slider. so you won’t have much of a problem adapting to slidesjs.

As a designer, is there anything you found hard to understand?

Next part is already published. You can take look at http://www.1stwebdesigner.local/wordpress/wordpress-plugin-development-course-designers-2/

Looking forward to your suggestions on the second part.

Hi Will

Thanks for the vote and the reasons for choosing Flex slider. Let’s see which slider gets selected through final results.

Sure you will be able to create wordpress plugins after completing this series. Looking forward to your suggestions on second part.
